This piece was drawn from a photo of a jackaroo in the Northern Territory. I believe I’ve captured the relief this young man is feeling from having a thirst quenching drink in the heat of the day. I love this classic scene of the ever common blue ‘Willow’ water bottle being drained of its liquid through the lid, instead of the spout or cup. For myself and I assume many others, that blue water bottle is a welcomed sight in the middle summer. The Akubra, water bottle and stock book are all iconic essentials for a hard working stockman.
