I am a self taught Brisbane artist, originally from a beef producing property near Cecil Plains, 120km west of Toowoomba, Qld. Coming from the land, I enjoy sketching images that resonate with my upbringing and find most of my inspiration from nature and iconic outback scenes. My drawings begin as high quality photographs taken on a digital camera, uploaded to my computer and converted into monochrome images. Using 100% cotton rag paper and graphite pencils, I scale the image to approximately A3 size. I then carefully sketch a light outline of the subject and slowly begin to shade in the intricate detail.

Each original sketch can take between 15 to 45 hours to complete. The images you can purchase on my website are high resolution Giclee copies of originals that have been produced by a professional scanner and printed as long life, fade-proof ink on 100% archival cotton rag paper. This is the preferred and best quality paper in the industry. An exceptional artwork can illicit an emotional response from the viewer and thats what I hope to achieve.
