The bull skull that I have sketched is ten years deceased and has seen a lot of different weather, resulting in heavy decomposition. It has been exposed to extreme drought, extreme flood and every season in between. This has resulted in the finer parts of the skull including the nose and most of the teeth becoming brittle and breaking off. The remains of a beast in the paddock is never a welcomed sight but is an expected one with the ever changing weather patterns. There is however, something beautiful about life turning into dust and going back to the earth to provide nutrients for another living being.
